Notes from building Garuda
Introducing Garuda: an open-source coding agent with an OS sandbox
Garuda is an open-source coding agent for the terminal and for editors. Commands run in an OS sandbox that writes only in your project, temp folders and caches, edits ask first, and every decision goes to an audit log. It works with Claude, OpenRouter or local models.
Garuda reviewed its own code before release
Seven review runs in plan mode, about $30 of model time, and one high-severity bug. What worked, what did not, and what I would do again.
